Everyone at your bank should know the C-word and F-word related to mail theft. I know I have got your attention now.
 The C-word is CHECK and the F-word is FRAUD. More than 2,000 postal workers have been assaulted or robbed since 2020 according to Postal Service data, with 305 being targeting in the first quarter of 2023. The number of Suspicious Activity Reports (“SARs”) filed to report check fraud nearly doubled (+48.7%) from 350,373 in 2021 to 683,541 in 2022. In the February 2023 SAR Report from FinCEN 57,263 check fraud SARs were filed which represents 7.43% of all SARs filed (#2 reason for filing a SAR). It is time you let the check fraud criminals hear you - @#$%&! - with updated training, refreshed policies and procedures and new software.
